| Each sculpture is hand crafted and cut from mild steel plate by a plasma cutter. The design is first drawn on paper after which it is scanned and down loaded onto a computer for final digitizing to a format that the plasma cutter can understand. After the individual pieces have been cut, they are hand formed and prepared for assembly. The patina finish is applied of which the colors that are used are unique to our studio. We use a combination of our own unique transparent metal colors and powder coating techniques. Each sculpture is different in some way; there are never two the same. When a new series is offered, there are never more than 250 made of any one design, which accounts for the unique designs and colors. Although each sculpture is cut from steel, it should be treated with the same care as fine crystal. Do not use cleaning material that is abrasive when cleaning; a soft cloth will work well. Place in an area that is safe and where it cannot be knocked over. It is recommended that the sculpture be located in an area that is not in direct sunlight as the ultraviolet rays may cause discoloration in the patina finish over time. |
